Urbecon is a multi-disciplinary consultancy practice specialising in local and regional economic development and regeneration and in social and economic research.

The company's experience is wide-ranging within these fields and includes work related to crime and community safety, property development, environmental protection, and vocational training and education.

Founded in 1985 and incorporated in 1992, Urbecon is based in London but has served clients in all parts of the UK and around the world. Since July 2006, Urbecon has been part of a new group formed in partnership with Platinumlinks Ltd with new headquarters on the campus of the University of East London.
