Training is a key part of Urbecon's business. The company has provided
in-service training in local and regional economic development for more than fifteen years, mainly in association with the
Institution for Economic Development.
Urbecon helped create the 'Economic Development Distance Learning Consortium' (EDDLC) with the IED Education
Trust and the universities of Coventry, Dundee and Sheffield Hallam. The EDDLC offers 'distance learning courses' leading
to postgraduate certificate, diploma and Masters degree levels, approved by the IED as membership qualifications.

'Portable Packages'
Urbecon has also developed a short in-house course material for
presentation by a trained presenter in a wide variety of contexts. The course is now available for general application and
has the special advantage that we can run it anytime, any place to suit clients' needs.
